Gilding and Re-gilding of Furniture and Frames

Gilding is a centuries-old decorative technique used to apply a thin layer of gold or metal leaf to furniture and frames, creating a luxurious and elegant finish. This delicate process requires expert craftsmanship and careful application. Therefore, A.J. Brett works with an experienced gilder. Our gilder ensures a stunning and long-lasting result, using both traditional and contemporary techniques. Contact us for more information or to request a full quote.

Gilding

Our gilder has experience in all types of traditional and modern gilding. We can re-gild antique picture and mirror frames, as well as recast the mouldings of broken frames using a variety of techniques. This way, our team can completely restore damaged frames. Of course, A.J. Brett also gilds other types of furniture, such as chairs. We use water or oil based methods, depending on what’s best for your piece of furniture. We’re happy to advise you about the possibilities.
